Why do I need to rotate my tires?
Here in Florida, the heat fosters more than just mosquitoes, humidity and hurricanes, the heat also causes Tires to wear at a higher rate; something that Tire manufacturers have known for some time. As the front and rear axles differ in weight, this causes uneven Tire Wear. To ensure even Tire Wear, Tires are Rotated by moving the Wheels and Tires on an automobile from one position to another. Tire Rotation will extend the useful life of a set of Tires. It is recommended that Tires be Rotated usually between 5,000 and 6,000 miles. For some that means every Oil Change, for others that means every other Oil Change. For equal Tire Wear, Rotation should be performed just about every Oil Change and should be Rotated at minimum every six months.
